She benefits from a dual professional experience backgrounds in real estate gained within international law firms, particularly Anglo-American ones, for nearly nine years, and within a notary’s office for six years. She has advised French and international investors and developers on complex property projects with a strong logistical and environmental dimension. Her practice covers acquisitions, disposals, financing and construction of real estate assets, as well as on negotiation of leases and issues related to building decarbonization. At De Gaulle Fleurance, she contributes to the development of a practice dedicated to assisting real estate investment companies, investors and property owners with their solarization projects or the development of renewable energy assets (photovoltaic, biogas, etc.), with particular expertise in land rights and contractual arrangements relating to self-consumption.
David Faravelon, a member of the Paris Bar since 2017, joined De Gaulle Fleurance in 2021. He advises investment funds (infrastructure and private equity), as well as major groups, developers and entrepreneurs, on M&A, private equity and joint venture transactions, particularly those with complex and/or cross-border dimension. His expertise lies mainly in the infrastructure, renewable energy and energy transition sectors, both in France and internationally. He recently advised Akuo Energy, an international developer and producer of renewable energy, on the strategic sale of its African portfolio of projects to Taranis Investments, the Perenco group’s investment and asset management company. He also has extensive experience in industrial and technology-related transactions. David is a graduate of Grenoble École de Management’s HEC Entrepreneurs Specialised Masters programme and holds a Master 2 in Justice, Litigation and Proceedings from Grenoble Alpes University.
“The energy transition is profoundly transforming economic models. David Faravelon and Ghrislaine Oucharif are accompanying this transformation alongside those working for a more sustainable future, and this promotion rewards their commitment”, says Louis de Gaulle, co-founding partner of De Gaulle Fleurance.
“Given the constant evolution of regulatory frameworks at both European and national levels, combined with increasing sustainability requirements, real estate professionals must incorporate the energy transition into their strategy in order to mitigate the risk of asset depreciation. My dual experience in a law firm and a notary’s office gives me the opportunity to provide for cross-disciplinary expertise across any type of real estate asset (retail, logistics, industry, data centres, etc.), tailored to the emerging challenges of the real estate sector”, says Ghrislaine, senior counsel at De Gaulle Fleurance.
“At a time when strategic investment is accelerating in infrastructure, the energy transition and the development of emerging sectors such as New Space, our cross-functional approach is a key asset. I am committed to further strengthening our transactional practice, particularly in the infrastructure, renewable energy and energy transition sectors,” says David Faravelon, senior counsel at De Gaulle Fleurance.
