PRESS RELEASE

VSB énergies nouvelles has signed a 16-year corporate power purchase agreement for the future green and renewable hydrogen plant in Lhyfe, Brittany.

Founded in 2017, Lhyfe is a European group dedicated to energy transition, producer and supplier of green and renewable hydrogen.

As a result of this contract, VSB énergies nouvelles, an independent renewable electricity producer based in Nîmes, will supply Lhyfe’s future hydrogen production site in Morbihan with renewable electricity. All of the green electricity produced by VSB énergies nouvelles’ wind farm in Morbihan will be dedicated to the Lhyfe site in Brittany, supplying green hydrogen for local mobility and industrial processes.

De Gaulle Fleurance (Sylvie Perrin, Partner, and Béatrice Boisnier, Legal Counsel) advised VSB Energies Nouvelles on the economic viability of the project.

“We’re delighted to have been involved in this project, which will make a major contribution to the ecological transition,” explains Sylvie Perrin. “The development of hydrogen production by electrolysis is one of the priorities established when the French energy and climate strategy was drawn up,” she adds.
