On-Chain Finance: De Gaulle Fleurance advises GOin on its DASP and CASP approvals

De Gaulle Fleurance worked with GOin, the 1st crypto-asset manager in France to obtain the Digital asset service provider license (DASP) (agrément en qualité de prestataire de services sur actifs numériques -PSAN) issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).

Active since 2018, PSAN registered since 2022, GOin is a pioneering player in crypto asset custody, brokerage and portfolio management services. With this DASP license, GOin has reached a decisive step.

This approval was made possible by the integration of blockchain technologies at the very heart of GOin’s infrastructure. It testifies that GOin is committed to data security and the protection of its customers’ crypto assets. Indeed, last summer GOin became the first French crypto-asset manager to achieve ISO 27001:2022 certification, which is the benchmark international standard for information security management.

Thanks to this approval, GOin will be able to benefit from the accelerated procedure put in place by the AMF to obtain approval as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the European MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation, which came into force on December 30, 2024 and is necessary to provide, in full compliance, its crypto-asset services in France and throughout the European Union.

GOin was advised in this transaction by Anne Maréchal, partner, Léa Oïffer-Bomsel, senior associate and Julie Bader, associate, at De Gaulle Fleurance.

“We are proud to have supported the 1st crypto-asset manager to obtain DASP approval in France, this illustrates the attractiveness of French and European regulations for innovative companies, including start-ups, in on-chain finance, which make this approval a decisive competitive advantage and an indispensable guarantee of confidence in this market.”
