De Gaulle Fleurance advised Bpifrance and Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC as mandated arrangers in the financing of the 2nd largest ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant in France.
De Gaulle Fleurance assisted Bpifrance and Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC in the financing of a ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant developed by RUBIS PHOTOSOL, a solar energy producer.
This transaction enables RUBIS PHOTOSOL to finance its largest ground-mounted photovoltaic installation, also the second largest in France, comprising 350,000 panels and with a capacity in excess of 200 MWp.
Initiated in 2019 via a Call for Expressions of Interest (Appel à Manifestation d’Intérêt) supported by the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, this project will convert the land of the former Creil air force base, disused since 2016 (over 250 hectares).
De Gaulle Fleurance advised the lending banks (Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels, Banque Palatine, Bpifrance, Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, Caisse d’Epargne Hauts de France and Crédit Coopératif) in this transaction (Jonathan Souffir (partner) and Pierre Bouijoux).
“We are proud to have accompanied the arrangers and the lenders on this financing for Rubis Photosol. This is a major transaction that will not only generate green electricity, but also create several hundred jobs during the construction phase and around thirty during the operating phase”
