De Gaulle Fleurance assits FINCTEK UE, a company specializing in crypto-asset transactions, in obtaining its authorization as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP).

Founded in 2023 by highly qualified professionals in financial engineering and new technologies from Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and France, FINCTEK UE aims to use blockchain to promote financial inclusion. The European entity thus completes an ecosystem project made up of several companies present in Africa, reinforcing a global positioning. Thanks to this authorization issued under the European MiCA regulation (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation), FINCTEK UE will be able to offer a platform enabling its European customers to carry out fast, transparent and low-cost transactions in crypto-assets. In particular, it will exchange EUR, USD, XAF and XOF currencies for crypto-assets.

The services offered will cover

  • custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients ;
  • exchanging crypto-assets for funds or other crypto-assets;
  • the execution of orders on crypto-assets on behalf of clients;
  • the placement of crypto-assets;
  • the transfer of crypto-assets on behalf of clients.

FINCTEK UE clients will thus be able to choose to keep their crypto-assets within the platform, transfer their crypto-assets to a beneficiary’s wallet, or exchange them for currencies such as the Central African CFA franc (XAF) or the West African CFA franc (XOF).

FINCTEK UE was advised on this transaction by Anne Raoul-Tardieu, partner at ARAO, and then by Anne Maréchal, partner, Julie Bader, senior lawyer and Clara Zerbib, associate at De Gaulle Fleurance.

“Obtaining CASP authorization marks a decisive step for FINCTEK UE, which can now operate within a solid regulatory framework on a European scale, while facilitating the exchange between crypto-assets and foreign currencies. We are delighted to have supported FINCTEK in this process, which is crucial to its development”, says Anne Maréchal, partner at De Gaulle Fleurance.
