During more than 25 years, Mr. Griston has advised clients on commercial transactions in most parts of the world, with a principal focus on M&A and projects specifically in the energy (oil, gas, power (thermal, hydro, and nuclear)) and mining sectors. Mr. Griston assists Governments, State-owned companies, and private international groups.
In the context of his activities Mr. Griston is leading negotiations, drafting, and reviewing a broad range of legal documentation (M&A and project contracts, licensing, mining convention, etc.).
“I am pleased to join De Gaulle Fleurance EMEA Ltd to assist on the development of the firm’s international project development and M&A emerging markets practice“, said David Griston. “With the current energy crisis, attitudes to both conventional power (coal and gas fired generation) and renewables have shifted as Governments seek to bridge the energy gap while keeping to their climate goal commitments. The change in supply-side geographies is causing many companies to reconsider their longer-term investment plans and this is one of the areas that I will be working on with the rest of the team at De Gaulle Fleurance EMEA Ltd.”
“We are delighted to welcome David Griston” declares Jean-Baptiste Santelli, Partner, and CEO of De Gaulle Fleurance EMEA Ltd. “His extended experience on cross border transactions from both a legal and business perspective will be an asset for De Gaulle Fleurance and will allow the firm to strengthen its international development operated from our office in Abu Dhabi“.
