The film Bunker, selected in competition at the Venice Film Festival, assisted and advised by De Gaulle Fleurance
Bunker, Florian Zeller’s new feature film starring Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem in the lead roles, has been selected to compete at the 83rd edition of the Venice Film Festival in 2026, and will have its world premiere on Tuesday, 8th of September. This French-Spanish co-production will then be screened as part of the Official Selection at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. De Gaulle Fleurance advised Blue Morning Pictures on the financing and production of the film.
Co-produced by Blue Morning Pictures, Pathé Films, France 2 Cinéma and Mediawan for France, and Mod Producciones for Spain, Bunker marks Florian Zeller’s return as director, following The Son, which also premiered at the 79th Venice Film Festival in 2022. This new selection for the Venice Film Festival, ahead of its screening in Toronto, confirms the international scope of this picture and establishes it as one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year.
The film is distributed by Pathé in France and by Sony Pictures Classics in the United States. It is due to be released by the end of 2026.
