De Gaulle Fleurance advised Greencoat Renewables on the purchase of 4 wind farms in France

Deals 30 May 2022

The Irish corporation Greencoat Renewables PLC concluded a contract to purchase four land wind farms, with a totalizing capacity of 65,5 MW located in France, from the German energy company Volkswind (subsidiary of Axpo group).

The investment includes the wind farms of Genonville (20,3 MW), Grande Pièce (19,8 MW), Arcy-Précy (16 MW) and Butte de Menonville (9,4 MW).

Through this purchase, Greencoat Renewable PLC has more than doubled its wind production capacity in France, which now accounts 12% of its portfolio. Following operations conducted in Spain, Finland, Germany and Sweden, the company pursues its growth in Europe, where it has a renewable energy production capacity superior to 1 GW.

De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés (Sylvie Perrin and Julie Cornély, Associates, Morgan Guyot, Laura Ploy and Manon Oravec, Lawyers) advised Greencoat Renewables for this purchase.

“We are proud to have contributed to the success of this process”,

declares Sylvie Perrin, Associate at De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés.

“France is a very attractive market for investors, thanks to its supporting mechanisms to renewable energies”.
