De Gaulle Fleurance assists Bitstack in obtaining MiCA license
De Gaulle Fleurance assisted Bitstack, a French Bitcoin savings application founded in 2022 and already used by over 200,000 people, in obtaining its license as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP). It thus becomes the very first French company to obtain this new European regulatory status outside the fast-track and notification procedures.
With a simple, accessible offering – automatic rounding up to the next euro on expenses, scheduled purchases, instant transactions starting from €1, sending and receiving Bitcoin directly via the app – Bitstack now aims to roll out its services on a European scale, offering a modern alternative to traditional financial services.
With this license, Bitstack will be able to offer its services in all European Union member states, in line with the new harmonized framework introduced by the MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation.
Bitstack was assisted in this transaction by partner Anne Maréchal, senior associate Julie Bader and associate Irène L’Homme of De Gaulle Fleurance.
“Obtaining PSCA (Prestataire de Services sur Crypto-Actifs) license marks a key step for Bitstack, as a pioneering player in bitcoin savings, by enabling it to operate within a solid regulatory framework, on a European scale. We are delighted to have supported Bitstack in this structuring process for its development“, says Anne Maréchal, partner at De Gaulle Fleurance.
