De Gaulle Fleurance supported GreenYellow, through its Reservoir Sun entity, as borrower in a landmark financing operation in partnership with Bpifrance, Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France and Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC.

This project aims to financing the development and the creation of 92 solar photovoltaic power plants in France, representing a total capacity of 73 MWp. This operation shows the attractiveness of decentralized solar power to companies and banks, with 70% of projects focusing on self-consumption.

68% of the plants will be in the northern half of France. This is a strong sign that self-consumption is no longer just a question of sunlight but is increasingly linked to electricity prices. 70% will be installed as solar shading systems, answering to the compulsory solarization of parking lots in the retail and large business sectors, in accordance with the French Renewable Energy Act. 75% will be installed in large commercial and industrial companies.

This transaction, for a total amount of over 73 million euros, follows on from four major financings carried out by Reservoir Sun over the last three years, prior to its 100% acquisition by GreenYellow at the end of 2023.

Reservoir Sun by GreenYellow was advised by De Gaulle Fleurance (Sylvie Perrin, partner, Vahan Guevorkian, senior associate, and Pierre Bouijoux, associate).

We are honoured to have contributed to this historic and promising project in favour of the ecological transition,”

explains Sylvie Perrin, partner at De Gaulle Fleurance.

Self-consumption is an increasingly popular solution for companies wishing to decarbonize their activities and control their energy costs”.
