Esperanza, a Spanish national, is a partner. She joined De Gaulle Fleurance in Paris, France, in November 2024 after spending ten years in the international arbitration team at Latham & Watkins in Paris.

She has participated in more than 35 international commercial and investment arbitrations as counsel, and in seven arbitrations as arbitrator (sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, and tribunal chair), primarily involving Latin America.

Esperanza is an expert in disputes involving highly technical issues, particularly in the natural resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors, and has extensive experience in damages valuation.

Esperanza is an active member of the Paris and Madrid arbitration communities. She frequently speaks at conferences, teaches seminars and specialised university programmes, and publishes articles on technical issues. She is a professor of dispute resolution at the Sciences Po Law School and a member of the steering committee of the Sciences Po Arbitration Society.
