LitiPat

Barometer analysis of French patent decisions

Anticipate your risks in patent litigation

How many patents are declared invalid by the courts? Which arguments are most effective in defending the validity of a patent? What are the chances of success in an infringement action? What is the amount of damages in the event of infringement? Are infringement seizures useful for winning a dispute? These are just some of the questions to which LitiPat provides precise answers.

A comprehensive analysis tool based on case law

LitiPat is a litigation risk analysis tool based on an in-depth study of French patent case law since 2017. Thanks to an artificial intelligence engine designed by Case Law Analytics, it simulates the possible decisions of jurisdictions faced with a given situation and anticipates likely outcomes.

How LitiPat works in practice

The user enters the criteria corresponding to his or her situation (type of patent, arguments invoked, court seized, etc.). LitiPat then calculates:

  • The probability of success for the plaintiff or defendant.
  • The potential amount of damages.

A strategic decision-making tool

LitiPat enhances lawyers’ analyses and recommendations, providing companies with a valuable tool for objectifying their strategies and optimizing their patent decisions.

LitiPat: A complementary solution for your intangible assets

Complementing the LitiMark and LitiDesign solutions, LitiPat is useful for managing contentious and non-contentious patent issues. In addition, we have co-developed LitiSafe, an intelligent blockchain application to protect your creative ideas and strategic assets.
