Launch Services & Spaceports

We are pleased to invite you to the event Launch Services & Spaceports, co-organized by Women in Aerospace (WIA) and De Gaulle Fleurance, with the participation of SPATIO, on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, followed by a cocktail reception.

We would be delighted to welcome you in person at De Gaulle Fleurance, 9 rue Boissy d’Anglas – 75008 Paris. Should you be unable to attend on site, remote participation will also be possible.

This bilingual event (French/English) will bring together experts from industry, insurance, law, and space operations to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of launch infrastructures and spaceports.

As Europe accelerates its ambitions in access to space, we will bring together experts from industry, insurance, law, and operations to explore the rapidly evolving ecosystem of launch infrastructure and orbital access.

Spaceports are operational platforms where national ambitions, commercial innovation and geopolitics converge, making them important infrastructure for access to space. The Guiana Space Centre, based in Kourou, is Europe’s essential launch hub and a strategic asset in an increasingly competitive market. Yet, was once a State-dominated market is expanding into a rapidly evolving ecosystem of brokers, launch service providers, satellite operators, and other stakeholders.

This multiplication of actors and satellites heightens the importance of understanding how risk in space operations is measured, insured, allocated, and mitigated.

During this event, panellists will discuss how the infrastructures that serve as spaceports work and how and the policies governing activities in orbit must adapt in tandem to secure Europe’s long-term competitiveness and resilience in the global space sector.
