De Gaulle Fleurance advises SunWave on €20 million green bank financing backed by self-consumption models

Deals 2 February 2026

De Gaulle Fleurance advised SunWave on its development with €20 million in green bank financing backed by self-consumption models, arranged by Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, with the participation of Caisse d’Epargne Rhône Alpes, Banque Populaire Val de France, and Caisse d’Epargne Loire Drôme Ardèche.

SunWave, a new-generation renewable energy producer, has set up its first structured bank financing in the form of senior debt, aligned with the principles of green loans, for a total amount of €20 million.

This operation will finance the construction and commissioning of more than 40 projects with a total capacity of 17 MWp, generating an annual production of around 20 GWh, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 10,000 inhabitants. The assets are spread across mainland France and overseas territories.

More than 50% of the revenue from the financed metropolitan portfolio will come from individual and collective self-consumption contracts. A significant portion of the electricity produced will be sold directly to businesses, manufacturers, and public entities under schemes that allow them to benefit from electricity at a guaranteed price over the long term. The portfolio includes:

  • photovoltaic roofs on new commercial buildings,
  • parking lot shade structures for industrial sites or local authorities,
  • projects developed on artificial land in industrial areas.

Sylvie Perrin, partner, and Anne Kuhanathan, senior manager, at De Gaulle Fleurance, advised SunWave on the implementation of this financing.

“We are proud to have supported SunWave in financing ambitious and sustainable photovoltaic projects in mainland France and overseas. These operations illustrate our commitment to supporting the development of renewable energies and decentralized solar solutions,” said Sylvie Perrin.

CAISSE D’ÉPARGNE CEPAC was advised by Bentham.
