De Gaulle Fleurance strengthens its international arbitration practice with the arrival of Esperanza Barrón Baratech
Esperanza Barrón Baratech, senior counsel, has joined De Gaulle Fleurance to strengthen its international arbitration practice, principally in energy and natural resources in Latin America.
A Sciences Po Paris graduate, Esperanza Barrón Baratech holds two Master 2 degrees in Market and Regulatory Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and in Anglo-American Business Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and brings a unique expertise in commercial and investment arbitration. She has practiced for over 10 years in international law firms, handling complex disputes relating to energy, construction, distribution and life science projects
Born and raised in Spain, Esperanza Barrón Baratech grew up in Madrid before completing her studies in France. Her fluency in Spanish, combined with her knowledge of the economic and cultural environments of Latin America and Spain, is a real asset. Latin America is a key region for investment in the natural resources sector, with unique growth potential, particularly in renewable energies and mining projects.
Esperanza Barrón Baratech is involved in the transmission of knowledge, frequently gives seminars and classes at Sciences Po, where she plays an active role in academic and associative life, notably within the Sciences Po Arbitration Society, of which she is a member of the executive committee.
