Advised by De Gaulle Fleurance, NOVAFRANCE Energy obtains 14 million euros in financing for its photovoltaic animal shelters

Deals 2 September 2024

Advised by De Gaulle Fleurance, NOVAFRANCE Energy has secured additional financing of 14 million euros from Banque Populaire Grand Ouest (BPGO) and Caisse d’Epargne Bretagne Pays de Loire (CEBPL) for the construction of 200 photovoltaic poultry shelters with an installed capacity of 10 MWc on 40 sites.

Novafrance Energy, a company specialising in the development of sustainable energy projects, is offering outdoor livestock farmers the opportunity to install artificial and natural shelters to reduce attacks from aerial predators, protect poultry from bad weather and produce solar energy. These shelters, fitted with photovoltaic modules, are fully financed by Novafrance Energy through the sale of the electricity generated.

The first part of the financing obtained will enable NOVAFRANCE Energy to start building the first 16 sites in September 2024 and will boost NOVAFRANCE Energy’s development to nearly 1,000 poultry shelters, mainly located in Brittany, New Aquitaine, the Pays de Loire and Occitania.

Novafrance Energy was advised by De Gaulle Fleurance (Sylvie Perrin, partner, Vahan Guevorkian, senior manager, and Pierre Bouijoux, lawyer).

We are proud to have contributed to NOVAFRANCE Energy’s success in pursuing its ambitious projects in favour of the climate, biodiversity and animal welfare,’

explains Sylvie Perrin, partner at De Gaulle Fleurance.
