Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar (List I) and a graduate of the Université de Lorraine in France, Arnida Alija has a dual legal background in French and Luxembourg law. She has developed particular expertise in banking and finance law in both jurisdictions.
She previously practised at a leading international business law firm in Luxembourg, where she advised banks, financial institutions and funds on structured finance transactions, particularly in a cross-border context. Her practice covers the legal structuring of these transactions (subscription lines, NAV financing, acquisition finance).
She drafts, reviews and negotiates loan agreements and Luxembourg-law security interests, in particular those governed by the Law of 5 August 2005 on financial collateral arrangements. Her work also includes conducting due diligence and reviewing the corporate authorisations required for the granting of loans and guarantees. Arnida speaks French, English and Albanian.
