Xavier Vuitton has a doctorate in law and specialises in litigation (French and EU procedures, arbitration, international disputes and the European Court of Human Rights).
A former barrister at the Conseil d’Etat and the Cour de cassation and former secretary of the Conférence du stage des avocats aux Conseils, he is currently a barrister at the Paris and Quebec Bars.
He regularly appears as an expert witness before the courts in Canada and the United States, demonstrating French and European law in a wide variety of disputes.
He is also an associate professor at the Université Paris Est, where he teaches civil law, civil procedure and arbitration. For several years, he also taught a course in dispute resolution at the Ecole de Droit de l’Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris).
He is the author of numerous encyclopaedic booklets and articles on Private Judicial Law and wrote four books about civil procedure and Litigation Strategy. In 2024, he published the first biography in French of the famous Judge Roy Beam from Texas.
