Urbasolar, France’s leading solar power producer and a subsidiary of Swiss supplier Axpo, has finalized the financing of a portfolio of photovoltaic assets for a total of 96 million euros. This ambitious project includes 25 photovoltaic power plants throughout France. The portfolio, with a total capacity of 86 MWp, consists of ground-mounted, rooftop and greenhouse photovoltaic power plants, most of which were winners of the 4th and 5th sessions of the PPE 2 “Ground-mounted power plants” call for tenders issued by the French Energy Regulatory Commission.
The plants in the portfolio will be progressively commissioned between July 2024 and November 2025, and will generate 105 GWh per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 22,000 French households.
The arrangers were advised in this transaction by De Gaulle Fleurance (Jonathan Souffir, partner, Claire Haas, senior counsel, Pierre Bouijoux, Inès Madi, Anaëlle Degrémont, Brieux Lefur, lawyers, and Béatrice Boisnier, legal counsel).
“We are proud to have once again supported Urbasolar’s lenders in financing this project, which bears witness to Urbasolar’s strong commitment and strategic positioning in favor of the energy transition,” says Jonathan Souffir, partner at De Gaulle Fleurance.
