De Gaulle Fleurance advised leading battery energy storage solutions developer Harmony Energy on the upcoming delivery of France’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS), located in Cheviré, using Tesla Megapack technology.

This project marks an important step for the French energy system. The battery will be the first large-scale two-hour battery in France.

Located in the port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire, the 100 MW / 200 MWh large-scale renewable energy infrastructure will use Tesla Megapack and Autobidder technology and provide enough electricity to power 170,000 homes for two hours.

The project will provide essential balancing services to the French electricity grid and enable the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energies.

Harmony Energy was advised on this project and during the negotiations with Tesla by Sylvie Perrin, partner, Lionel Attal, Vahan Guevorkian and Alexandra Nowak, associates.

“We are proud to have assisted Harmony with this major project in France, which answers the urgent need to deal intelligently with the intermittency of renewable energies and the increase in negative energy pricing,” explains Sylvie Perrin, Partner at De Gaulle Fleurance.
