This fundraising operation by ADEME Investissement, conducted jointly with Noria, will allow TLS Geothermics to validate its innovative approach, which aims to target crustal fault zones as exploration areas for deep geothermal energy, and to accelerate its deployment in France, overseas territories, Germany, and the United States.
Geothermal energy is one of the few renewable energy sources not dependent on atmospheric conditions. Permanently available and non-intermittent, it is complementary to other renewable energies for ecological transition. With this in mind, since 2013 TLS Geothermics has been developing a methodology and digital tools to identify areas that are favorable for geothermal energy.
TLS Geothermics has a portfolio of projects in France and Martinique, including a first project ready to drill in the Massif Central (Geopulse).
De Gaulle Fleurance (Jean-Christophe Amy, partner, and Bertille de Bayser, associate), accompanied ADEME Investissement and Noria in their participation in the capital of TLS Geothermics.
“We are pleased to have accompanied ADEME Investissement and Noria in this transaction”, explain Jean-Christophe Amy, partner, and Bertille de Bayser, associate at De Gaulle Fleurance. “With this fundraising operation, TLS Geothermics will be able to develop geothermal energy, which allows it to produce heat, cold or electricity in a non-intermittent and renewable manner. This is another step towards the ecological transition”.
