De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés advises Direct Energie in the context of the acquisition of a power plant

De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés (Jean-Christophe Amy and Nicolas Chazarain) advises Direct Energie in the context of the acquisition of a gas combined-cycle thermal power plant with a 408 MW production capacity located in the Allier region (center of France) from the Swiss energeticist, Alpiq AG. With this acquisition and subject to the fulfilment of the condition precedents, Direct Energie equips itself with a first power generation park.   As the third French player in the electricity and gas sector, Direct Energie gained and retained almost 1.5 million residential and professional customers’ sites in France and Belgium, including more than 100.000 companies and public authorities’ sites. Being an integrated actor of the energy sector, Direct Energie is involved in the production and supply of electricity, gas and energy services to its clients.   De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés has a strong Energy practice, including in: structuring, negotiating and drafting bank finance deals involving energy infrastructures (solar, wind, hydro and biomass), legal audits of projects, public incentive funds, infrastructure construction contracts, power plants acquisitions, utility concession and design of regulated organizational structures for energy utilities. De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés’ Energy practice appears every year in all major international rankings, including Legal500.
